Cookie Policy
Last updated: 28 August 2026
This page lists exactly what cookies and browser storage Lankio Learn uses today — nothing more.
This document describes what the Lankio Learn application actually does, based on its real technical implementation. It is provided for transparency and is not legal advice and has not been reviewed or certified by a lawyer. Sections marked [Requires legal review] are incomplete and should be finalized with a qualified legal advisor before being relied on for compliance.
Summary
Lankio Learn uses only strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising/marketing cookies, or any third-party tracking script (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no ad network, nothing similar). Because there is nothing non-essential to opt into, we don't show a consent banner asking you to accept or reject cookies — under GDPR/ePrivacy, that kind of consent is specifically required for non-essential cookies, and strictly-necessary ones are exempt. We do show a brief, dismissible notice linking here, for transparency.
A. Strictly necessary — authentication cookies
When you log in (with email/password or Google), Supabase Auth (our authentication provider) sets cookies — prefixed sb- — that keep you signed in as you move between pages. These are required for login to work at all. They are not used to track you across other websites and are not shared with any advertiser.
B. Analytics
None. This site does not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or any similar tool.
C. Marketing / tracking
None. This site does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or profiling of any kind.
D. Third-party
The only third-party service that can set a cookie in your browser here is Supabase, and only for the strictly-necessary authentication purpose described above. Stripe is only ever reached by leaving this site to Stripe's own hosted checkout page — Stripe does not set cookies on learn.lankio.it itself.
Browser storage (not a cookie, disclosed anyway)
If you use the site without an account, we save your lesson progress, XP, streak, and saved words in your browser's local storage — a first-party mechanism, not sent to any server, not shared with anyone, and only readable by this site. It exists purely so a guest doesn't lose progress on refresh. It is separate from cookies and from the authentication mechanism above.
Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser's settings at any time. Doing so may sign you out of Lankio Learn, since the authentication cookie is what keeps your session active.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics or any non-essential cookie in the future, we will update this page and add a proper Accept/Reject consent mechanism before that cookie is set — not after.
