Cookie Policy

Lankio Learn uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, and Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used (page views, general traffic patterns). We do not use advertising/marketing cookies, retargeting pixels, or any ad network (no Meta Pixel, nothing similar). We do not currently show an Accept/Reject consent banner for Google Analytics — see "If this changes" below for why that's a known gap, not an oversight we're unaware of. We do show a brief, dismissible notice linking here, for transparency.

When you log in (with email/password or Google), Supabase Auth (our authentication provider) sets cookies — prefixed sb- — that keep you signed in as you move between pages. These are required for login to work at all. They are not used to track you across other websites and are not shared with any advertiser.

We use Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID G-GTMDKQMCRG) to see basic, aggregate usage — which pages are visited, roughly how many people use the site, and similar traffic patterns. It sets first-party cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_*) in your browser, which Google uses to distinguish visitors between visits. We only use standard page-view tracking — no custom event tracking, no ad personalization, and we have not enabled Google Signals or any cross-site advertising feature. Google acts as a data processor for this traffic data; see Google's Privacy Policy for how they handle it.

None. This site does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or profiling of any kind.

The only third-party service that can set a cookie in your browser here is Supabase, and only for the strictly-necessary authentication purpose described above. Stripe is only ever reached by leaving this site to Stripe's own hosted checkout page — Stripe does not set cookies on learn.lankio.it itself.

If you use the site without an account, we save your lesson progress, XP, streak, and saved words in your browser's local storage — a first-party mechanism, not sent to any server, not shared with anyone, and only readable by this site. It exists purely so a guest doesn't lose progress on refresh. It is separate from cookies and from the authentication mechanism above.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser's settings at any time. Doing so may sign you out of Lankio Learn, since the authentication cookie is what keeps your session active.

Google Analytics was added without a granular Accept/Reject consent banner — a real, known gap against the standard this page previously held itself to (that a proper consent mechanism goes in before a non-essential cookie, not after). It is documented here rather than silently shipped. If we add any further non-essential/advertising cookie beyond the analytics already described above, we will build a proper consent mechanism at that point, and revisit adding one for analytics too.
